Hi Lovelies,
How y’all doing? If you are a regular reader of my blog, you would have realised that I am a sucker for natural/home made beauty product(check on my “Natural Saturday” posts.)
So in this post,I will be sharing with you on how I pamper my weaves using home made products. As you all know, caring for your human hair extensions is similar to caring for your own natural hair. So here you go…
Things you will need:
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup olive oil
Avocado
Yoghurt
Small bowl
Sulfate-free shampoo
Instructions:
Soak your hair extensions in warm water for 30 minutes to an hour. The warm water will soften the strands, making them easier to style.
Make a hot oil treatment using olive oil and avocado oil. Combine a few teaspoons of the oils, then place in a glass jar or cup. Place the cup in a hot water bath to heat the oils. Wet the extensions and massage a hot oil treatment into them. Leave the treatment in the extensions for about 30 minutes then rinse them out with warm water.
Use a deep conditioning treatment to soften the hair extensions. Apply the conditioner to slightly dampened extensions, leave it in for about 10 minutes then rinse off.
Make a deep conditioning mask with avocado and yogurt, and apply it to the hair extensions. Mash up a ripe avocado and mix it in with 2 tbsp. yogurt, blending well. Apply the mask all over the hair extensions, leave it in for about 15 minutes. Remove the mask and then rinse out the extensions with shampoo.
Apply a mixture of honey and olive oil to soften the hair extensions. You will need about 2 tbsp. honey and olive oil. Mix them together in a plastic bowl then apply to the hair extensions. Massage it in to really make the extensions soft, then rinse them out with warm water.
